Meet the Family

For all of our birthdays in 2007, Jessica wrote "blessings songs" for each member of our family (with the exception of Brianna's song, which Mama wrote, Jessica's song, which Shanna, Brianna, and Mama wrote together, and Stephen's song, which Jessica wrote with Racheal). Each of our songs describe our personalities and interests. In reading them, you can get to know each of us from the perspectives we have of one another.

Steve & Kelly

Steve & Kelly Fournier

Our parents, Steve and Kelly Fournier, celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary in August 2008. They continue to love each other more dearly as each year goes by, as they endeavor together to serve Yahweh and train their children in His ways.

How We Love You, Daddy!
Chorus:
How we love you, Daddy
You're our shepherd and our guide
You lead us in Yah's ancient paths
And stand ever at our side
Like a watchman you look out
For our safety and our good
And when we look at you we see
Our Heavenly Father as we should

You work so hard to provide for us
You labor with your hands
Building sheds and fixing houses
You hammer, paint, and sand
You work so hard for us, Daddy!

You are so faithful to teach us
In the instruction of Yahweh
Every day we read His Word
And fun lessons you display
We are so thankful you teach us, Daddy!

You often take time to play with us
Or take us on a hike
Sometimes we play kick-the-can
Or go riding on our bikes
We love it when you play with us, Daddy!

You love to read Yahweh's Word
You love it when we sing
You like us to give you foot rubs
N' potato pancakes are your favorite thing
You are so special to us, Daddy!

Oh, how we love you, Daddy
Of all daddies you're the best
We want to love and honor you
And make you feel so blessed
Oh, how we love you, Daddy!

An Excellent Wife & Mother
Chorus:
An excellent wife who can find?
For her worth is far above jewels
A gentle mother, loving and kind
Her worth is above precious jewels

Children:
You keep us fed, you make us clothes
To the ways of your house you look well
You spend endless hours serving us
In ways no words can tell

All:
You gird yourself with strength
You toil day and night
You help the sick and cheer the sad
Shining forth Yeshua's light
(Chorus)

Dad:
My heart does trust in you
I have no lack of gain
My love for you will not grow dim
Nor my affection ever wane

You're a hidden source of strength to me
With a humble heart you stand
At my side to encourage me
And lend a helping hand
(Chorus)

Little Children:
You wipe our tears and wash our faces
You read us stories, too
You give us snacks and tie our laces
Oh, how we love you!

Older Children:
You're always there to help us
Whenever we have a need
You stand behind us in all our endeavors
In word and in deed
(Chorus)

(All)
Your children rise to bless you
Your husband also says,
"Many daughters have done nobly
But you excel them all!"

A hand-maiden of Yahweh
Always serving, always giving
Your life for others always living

A blessing beyond what words can say

Respect and honor you display
You're a tender, loving sister
A good example every day
You're a faithful servant of Yahweh

You're so kind and thoughtful
Gentle speech you display
You're quick to listen, slow to speak
Considerate of what others say
You make us feel so appreciated
In a special, loving way
You're a faithful servant of Yahweh

You're an expert in the kitchen
All your cooking is gourmet
Breakfasts fit for kings and queens
And suppers the same way
Truly, with Shanna as head cook
We eat well every day!
You're a faithful servant of Yahweh

With words of encouragement
Your pen Yah's truths relay
He is using the newsletter
To challenge others in His way
And as you walk out what you write
Your example has much to say
You're a faithful servant of Yahweh

Brianna Joy, strong in virtue
A young woman who fears Yahweh
You have a merry heart
And a cheerful countenance
Your so full of the joy of Yahweh

Yahweh has done a beautiful work
Deep down in your heart
You believe in Him
And receive from Him,
His Spirit He does impart
You have a gentle spirit,
Which is precious in His sight
You want to love and serve Yahweh
In whom is all your delight

You serve Yahweh with all your heart
Your friends and family too

All the things you need to do
You like things clean and in their place
The laundry done and put away
The mud room clean, the floor sparkling
We thank Yahweh for you each day!

Your school takes many hours
Throughout your day
When you're watering the flowers
Your time seems to slip away
You can't wait 'til you graduate
And take your GED
Then you'll help Christopher
And the greenhouse you'll oversee

You've taken good care of Tirzah
Her training you did undertake
You have taught her to roll over
play dead and how to shake
She can balance a treat on her nose,
She can yawn, stretch and stay
and when she counts and gives you five
everyone is amazed.

You are gifted in music
You love to worship and praise
You're harmony is beautiful
May you sing to Him always
You're doing so well on the violin

You have a heart full of treasures
Planted by Yah's grace;
A countenance of radiance
Shining on your face!
You have a heart of trust and love-
Yah's own special place.
O how we love you, Racheal!

(Chorus)
Racheal, precious lamb,
As a sheep who loves its shepherd,
And a lamb who trusts its master,
So you are! (2x)

You're so filled with ideas
For stories galore.
You have a knack for writing,
That is for sure!
O how we love your tales;
That's why we ask for more!
O how we treasure you, Racheal!

You have a sweet little lamb,
Your namesake, you know.
You want some more at a future time
To make our barnyard grow.
Sheep milk's better than the goats-
So you say, but we don't know!
O how we cherish you, Racheal!

You have the heart of a servant;
You work with such ambition.
When you're on duty, chores get done,
And Dad's lunch is never missin'
You love to cook, you love to bake,
We're under the impression
That we could never do without you, Racheal!

Used oft so long ago
But sadly forgotten in our present day
And replaced by words not so
(Chorus 2)

You want to follow Yahweh, our King
And serve Him with your whole life
You want to walk in all His ways
Forsaking envy and strife
May you be a messenger of Yahweh's peace
Bringing joy to troubled hearts

Lit with Yah's love and radiant with joy
A beacon of light shining from afar-
O what a treasure you are!

With eager hands and happy heart
You serve our family.

To become one with Him.

Your name has such meaning;
It was prophetic, you know.
But it also conveys a quality
In which you can grow.
For your true source of strength
And wisdom, our dear,
Is when you cry out to Yah
His voice to hear.

You're quite a little housekeeper;
You're learning to clean and bake,
You love to cook and are quite sure
Someday Shanna's place you'll take.
You'll cook the meals and bake the bread
You'll teach the older girls, too.

How to cook and bake like you!)
